The cottage is located in the crossroads of touristic and cultural Dordogne. In the heart of ‘Périgord Noir’, equidistant to Bergerac, Sarlat and Perigueux, it is the perfect place to come and discover Dordogne.
	Historically, from Prehistory and its numerous prehistoric sites and cave-dwellings (Bara Bahau, La Roque Saint-Christophe, Les Eyzies…) to Gallo-Roman time (remains in Périgueux formerly ‘Vesuna’), our region counts plenty of marks from the medieval period (Limeuil, Sarlat…). You will find many castles along the Dordogne valley which testify to the local history. Geologically and geographically, we are already on the spurs of Central Massif with high calcareous cliffs and an undulating landscape. Many caves and abysses require to be discovered (Gouffre de Proumeyssac, Grotte du Grand Roc.). And what about sports? Walking, cycling, horsing, canoeing, caving… these are a few ways to approach our regional resources. Come and eat! As the Mecca of french gastronomy, Dordogne department will surely delight your taste buds with its 'Foie Gras', strawberries, truffles and other specialities...
